Do you offer a song of praise to God on behalf of others?
Deborah and Barak offered a song of praise to God for His mercy and righteous acts on behalf of Israel. Have you studied enough of the old testament to know that such songs were important ways of expressing gratitude to God. It helped to remind the people if how God had helped them.
Even in the New Testament, believers were also instructed to praise God for His goodness and love. Sincere praise and worship are what God considers as holy and pleasing sacrifices to him.
When we praise God, it is usually in the form of a song. We can sing spiritual songs of praise using our native language or by using a language given by the Holy Spirit.
If you are at a place where you can stop what you are doing, take this moment and start praising God. Hey, if you are brave enough, go ahead and start worshipping God now even in your workplace. I have done this in my workplace. Co-workers, my bosses, and customers would hear me singing away as I worked. You can do this too! Remember verse 2 – The people offered themselves willingly! Let’s be a people willing to worship and praise God for all he does and for others.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this wonderful day! Thank you that you have given us many ways to worship you. Give us boldness and bravery to worship you everywhere we are when we need to.
You are so worthy of our praises.
In Jesus Name
Amen
