Praise The Name Of The Lord

Praise the Lord.  Praise the name of the Lord; praise him, you servants of the Lord, you who minister in the house of the Lord, you who minister in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.  Praise the Lord, for the Lord, is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant.   For the Lord has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession.  Psalms 135:1-4

 

Did you know there are 3 facts why we praise God?

Fact #1:  God brought Israel into a saving covenant – relationship with him.  This is a life agreement based on God’s laws and promises to the people and on the peoples’ faithfulness and obedience to God.

Fact #2:  God is alive!  God is active in the world.  He is active in the lives of his children.

Fact#3:  God is close to his children.  He shows special compassion for those who serve him.

Praise is the blessings of grace flowing from the everlasting love of God.  God is good.  He does good.  Therefore, we should praise God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness.  Thank you for your sweet covenant.  Thank you for being alive and active in our lives.  You are so worthy of our praises.  You are so so good!
