The first recording of praise in the Bible is when the Israelites crossed the Red Sea. This praise was about Thanksgiving to God for his miracle of rescuing them from Egypt. Moses commanded the Israelites to praise God for the promised land. Deborah praises was for God who defeated their enemy. King David’s praise To God is recorded in the story of his life in the Psalms he wrote.

One of the main functions of the angels is to praise God.  All ages can praise God. God calls all nations to praise him. In fact everything that has breath is to praise God.  God commands everything that he has made in nature to praise him: the sun, the moon, the stars, the lightning, the hail, the snow, in the wind. Even the mountains, hills, rivers, and seas will praise the Lord (Psalm 148:3-4, 8; Psalm 98:7-8, Isa 44:23).

Again, take some time and evaluate why you worship god?  What is it that you love about praising God?
