Life is hard. There is no way around it other than praying to God. In our sufferings and trials, we need to turn to him in prayer. We may need to ask other believers and our spiritual leaders to pray for us. We need to look to God and see how we can honor him. Jesus is our mediator. When we pray, Jesus is there. When things are going good we then should praise His name.
Pastors and the leaders are to pray for the sick. They are to anoint them with oil. We should be praying in faith. The oil represents the healing power of the Holy Spirit. James emphasizes the importance of prayer. Effective prayer has to be in the faith.
We might not always be healed instantly, however, we still have to have faith in God. We still have to be persistent in prayer. No matter what the end result might be, we should trust God’s. ways. We should also look at our sins. Sometimes our sins can make us sick. We will then need to ask for forgiveness. We have to be in the right relationship with God. When we confess, we will be healed. Remember though not all sin is the cause of our sickness.
If we are in a right relationship with God, we have power in our prayers. It will be us closer to God. Prayer will open the way to the Spirit-led life. Prayer will bring us power for ministry. Prayer will build us up.
Are you suffering?
Let us pray.
Are you rejoicing?
Let’s sing praises.
Prayer does many things in our lives. Trust God and pray to him. Ask other believers to pray. Don’t hold back.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for making a way to you through prayer. I pray that when we are suffering, going through trials and hard times, that we will hit our knees and pray. That we will ask others to pray along with us. I ask that as we pray that it draws us closer to you.
In Jesus Name
Amen
