Praying With Hope

“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-16‬

Do you feel that God is accessible to you?

When Christ died on the cross the temple veil was torn from top to bottom.  This means that all people from that moment on have direct access to God!  Take a moment and read Hebrews 9:1-15.  Isn’t this exciting!  We don’t have to do what the Old Testament people had to do to have their sins covered. All the sacrifices- no more!

Did you know that some people think they have to fix themselves before they can go to God?! If you are one of these people that think that!  Please stop!  You are putting to much on yourself and not getting anywhere!  The only way to God is through Jesus!  We can now just come as we are- sins, brokenness, scars and all the baggage!  Let God take care of your  imperfection!   When we go to pray we realize that God is closer to us then what we realize!  We can pray with hope!  We can come before the throne of grace  with boldness.  We get to cry out to our Triune God!

Are you ready to pray with hope and have access to God?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this time that we can reflect on how you planned things!  Thank you that we can approach the throne of grace with boldness and just come as we are!  We do t have to be perfect; we just have to be willing to come to you and confess and obey!!  You are a loving gracious father! We love you!

In Jesus Name

Amen
