Prioritizing The Kingdom

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11:15

Read Matthew 24:14; Revelation 5:9-10; Revelation 11:15; Luke 12:31-32

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14

And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood, you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,  and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10

Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you. “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.  Luke 12:31-32

What do these verses say?  What do we learn about God and Jesus?

The Kingdom of God is God’s sovereign activity resulting in people being in the right relationship with Him.  The Kingdom of God is the big picture of God’s activity all over the world.

Let’s look at three scriptures that talk about the kingdom.  Rev. 5:9-10,  is the kingdom of believers.  This kingdom is made up of all the followers of Jesus all over the world.   Rev. 5:9 is Kingdom is big.  It contains the believers of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.  The kingdom of God is bigger than any church, denomination, city, or nation.  The last point about the kingdom is it is being built (Matthew 24:14).  God is alive and is working all over the world building His kingdom.

God is expanding His Kingdom through the church.  It is local and globally.  We are learning and teaching.  We are apart of this kingdom.  We need to make the kingdom work a priority in our lives.

How can you prioritize the Kingdom in your life?  Are there any changes that need to happen in your life to apply these verses to your life?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your kingdom.  I pray that we will make it a priority in our lives.  I pray we will be obedient and share your love with others.

In Jesus Name

Amen
