Are you a Christ follower? A believer? A christian? God has promised the gift of baptism of the Holy Spirit to you. God wants you to receive His gift. You don’t have to and it’s not forced upon you. It’s a gift you have to ask for.
First of all, do you want the Holy Spirit? All you have to do is pray and ask for the gift. After you ask, keep praying until you receive it. Sometimes it will happen all at once, and sometimes you have to wait, and sometimes it comes in little doses. At Cornelius house, the people were saved and instantly received the Holy Spirit. Jesus friends on the day of Pentecost had to wait a week. Keep asking, praying, and waiting. He is worth the wait. His timing is perfect.
While one is waiting, keeping loving and obeying Jesus every day. Keep praying and studying His word. Keep asking Him for the gifts he wants to give you. Listen to what God is telling you. Don’t listen to the lies that may come up.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for the many gifts you give us. I pray that you will speak to each heart that is seeking more of you. You are so awesome. You are a merciful, gracious God. WE love you. I pray that anyone who is searching about the Holy Spirit that they will hear your voice. I pray that they hear truth and not lies. I pray blessing upon them God and that they will keep seeking you.
