Reflection Day

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this, we know that we love the children of God when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?  1 John 5:1-5

Today is Reflection Day!  I really love reflection day.  It’s a time for me to go back and reflect on what God has spoken to me about.  It gives me time to pray and seek God about what he wants to speak to change in my life.  It gives me time to make a game plan of putting action to what God is telling me and asking of me.  Reflection Day gives me a slower pace to really grasp what God is telling me.  It gives me more time to really listen for His voice.

Make the most of this time!  Go get your journals, pens, and bible and spend time with God.  Listen to him and obey him.  When you get uncomfortable with the quiet, just stay there and give God time to do what he wants. Take time today and find verses that God spoke to you that you are thankful for.  Then take time to thank God for His word. Think about the coming year and how you can reflection love this coming year.  Take this time to learn how to be honest with Him and with yourself.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for all you do.  Thank you for loving us so deeply and more than what we can really grasp.  I pray that you will be done as it is in heaven. Speak to each of us today as we spend time seeking your will.

In Jesus Name

Amen
