Today is Reflection Day! I love reflection day. It’s a time for me to go back and reflect on what God has spoken to me about. It gives me time to pray and seek God about what he wants to speak to change in my life. It gives me time to make a game plan of putting action to what God is telling me and asking of me. Reflection Day gives me a slower pace to grasp what God is telling me. It gives me more time to listen to His voice.
Make the most of this time! Go get your journals, pens, and bible and spend time with God. Listen to him and obey him. When you get uncomfortable with the quiet, just stay there and give God time to do what he wants. Take time today and find verses that God spoke to you that you are thankful for. Then take time to thank God for His word. Think about the coming year and how you can reflection love this coming year. Take this time to learn how to be honest with Him and with yourself.
When we live in the light of God’s love, our faith spurs us on to love freely. God’s message to us in Romans 1-3 is not to try harder, or work more, or to earn your way, or to clean yourself up. It is quite simple: HAVE FAITH.
This is where we start – believe that we fall short of God’s glory and that we need a savior. Believe that Christ died for our sins. Believe that by faith we come to God and choose to follow Him. Each of our journeys with God will be different, celebrate that!
- Through FAITH- In Christ, we receive God’s power
- Extravagant Exchange is God reveals Himself through the creation and invites us to follow His way rather than give in to sinful desires.
- In the secret places of our heart and mind, we invite Christ to help us view others, ourselves, and God correctly
- God’s law helps us to take a look, give up and get real as we seek to understand the good news of faith
- Bad News and Good News is sin’s power to separate us from God, we can rejoice that Jesus died our sins and brings us back into fellowship with God.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all you do. Thank you for loving us so deeply and more than what we can grasp. I pray that you will be done as it is in heaven. Speak to each of us today as we spend time seeking your will. Thank you for your love and acceptance of your creation.
In Jesus Name
Amen
