Today is Reflection Day! I love reflection day. It’s a time for me to go back and reflect on what God has spoken to me about. It gives me time to pray and seek God about what he wants to speak to change in my life. It gives me time to make a game plan of putting action to what God is telling me and asking of me. Reflection Day gives me a slower pace to grasp what God is telling me. It gives me more time to listen to His voice.
Make the most of this time! Go get your journals, pens, and bible and spend time with God. Listen to him and obey him. When you get uncomfortable with the quiet, just stay there and give God time to do what he wants. Take time today and find verses that God spoke to you that you are thankful for. Then take time to thank God for His word. Think about the coming year and how you can reflect love this coming year. Take this time to learn how to be honest with Him and with yourself.
Spend a few minutes with God praying. Put some music on and worship Him. Now pause, Be still – and know He is God. Listen to his voice. Is he speaking to you? Write down what he is telling you! If he is being silent just enjoy His presence. And know he loves you deeply! Trust him and obey him.
Father God! I pray that as we spend this time with you, that if it is your will to speak to us, let it be so. Help us to hear from you and then to obey you. Please let each one of us know your love for us. Amen
