Return To Me

But if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.  Nehemiah 1:9

Are you thankful that God lets us return to him when we repent?

I am so thankful that when I mess up and don’t keep God’s commandments, he still allows me to return to him.  Yes, I do have to change and learn from my mistakes.  I am thankful that God is a forgiving God.  One that forgives over and over.  I need to have a repentance heart.  I need to be willing to see my sin and ask for forgiveness.

I love the idea of God’s name dwelling there.  Him dwelling in Jerusalem.  HIs visible manifestation in Glory of the Divine Presence.  His presence.  I love being in His presence.

Do you meet God in His presence?  Do you take the time to go to Him and spend that time at His feet?  To sit in His Glory?

I love being in His presence.  I love to sit at His feet.  It is pure pleasure.  It brings me hope.  It brings me acceptance and love.  It’s even though I have sinned I can repent and do better to turn away from that sin and sit in His presence.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being a forgiving Father.  Thank you for having a dwelling place.  I pray that we will be obedient to you and to strive to live for you for your will and purpose and plans.

In Jesus Name

Amen
