Oh Job, you went through many, many hardships. I cannot imagine losing everything; family, livestock, and severely ill.
I have gone through hardships and trials, but I didn’t lose everything. I am sure he felt despair. Who wouldn’t? Since Job had hope in God, he felt secure. He could rest in God’s security. His faith never faltered. He did question God, I think in the right way, it is ok to do.
There is security in our Triune God. We can find rest in God when things get hard. This can be hard, however Our Triune God is a graceful, merciful, loving, and patient God with his children who are truly trying to do His will.
Are you ready to put full hope in God and have security and rest in Him?
Dear Heavenly Father,
I praise you. You are so wonderful, that at times it is so hard to put them into words. You are so glorious. Father, as we go through this life, helps us to put our hope in you. Help us to rest in you. Thank you that we can have security in you when life is hard and scary.
