Sing To The Lord

 Exodus 15: 1-21

Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriuously?  The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.  Exodus 15:21

Do you love to praise our Lord?

One Hebrew word for praise is yadah. It means praise, give thanks, or confess.  Another word for praise is zamar, which means sing praise.

This portion of Scripture is praising God.  The Israelites had escaped Egypt.  Their time of slavery had ended. When they weren’t sure if they would make it, God made a way for them.  This here is one reason we praise God.  When the the Red Sea swallowed up the soldiers, Moses and the people stopped and sang praised to God.

This chapter celebrates God’s victory over the Egyptians.  They praised God for his majesty.  His military might and His faithfulness to his faithfulness was recognized by His people.

Did you take the time to read this chapter?

What were your take aways?

This is out stood out to me:  The Lord is my strength and my song.  I love that Gdo is our strength.  We are not on our own.  God is right there with us if we invite Him to join us.

He shatters our enemy.  When we are obedient God is faithful to fight our battles for us.

How wonderful is it to sing praises to God?

When you sign praises do you notice the change in you?

It’s so wonderful, peaceful, exciting to enter into God’s presence! The best part is we can do it anytime we want to, desire to, and need to!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being our everything.  Thank you for fighting our battles.  Thank you for allowing us to not do this life on our own, but get to add you to our daily lives.  You are so wonderful and faithful.

In Jesus Name

Amen
