The sin of “divinaiton” is seeking to manipulate (control for personal gain) events, people, or the future by consulting the spirits of the dead. In Leviticus 19: 26, it says, “You shall not eat any flesh with the blood in it. You shall not interpret omens, or tell fortunes.” Verse 31, says, ” Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out; and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.” Mediums and necromancers (spiritist) were/are people who tried/try to communicate with the dead. However, in reality they are connectiing with demons. The purpose of people trying to reach out to the dead is to obtain hidden or prphetic knowledge.
In Leviticus 20:6, it says, “If a person turns to mediums and necromancers; whoring after them, I will set my fae against that person adn will cut him off from among his people.” Rebellion against Gdo and refusing to accept and obey God’s word is like the sin fo divination. This is both a rejection to God’s lordship and an attempt to make things work out on our own way. Here’s the thing, when we dabble in any of these thigns, we are removed from God’s protection. Yes, you can believe in God – Satan does, yet our rebellion is what cuts us off form God!!!! It puts those who are under the destructive power and influence of Satan and evil spirits.
Is playing with tarot cards harmful?
How about horoscopes?
Should we watch horror movies, witchcraft show/movies, or go to haunted houses?
Should we mess with divination, mediums, or necromancers?
We think this is all innocent, but is it? Are you willing to change your relationship with God, and then be in the power of Satan???
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray during this season, we will look to you for the answers to these questions. I pray that we all will listen distinctly to your voice and choose to obey you and what you ask of us.
