Spiritual Inventory

“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

As long as we are here on earth, God will is working in us daily.  Where has God been working in your life?  What is he working on in your life?

We need to do spiritual inventory in our lives. This will help us to know that we are going in the right direction with God.  What is your love relationship with God like?  Are you close or distant?  Are you trusting or not trusting? Are you bubbly of joy?  Are you lukewarm? Is your relationship with God like a rollercoaster?  Do you need a tune up?  Are you cold? Are you solid as a rock?

Take some time and look at you relationship with God.  Pray over these questions and seek God on where to begin to work in your life.

How is your relationship with your church family?  Are you in a critical condition? Are you at odds with anyone?  Is there forgiveness?  Is there unity?  Is there honesty?  Are you discipling one another? Are you encouraging one another?

These are not easy questions when we are evaluating ourselves.  It takes time and honesty with ourselves.  It’s digging deep within ourselves and getting to the core of our hurts.  It is putting God first and top priority in our life and not anything else.  It is obeying God in all things and with where he is taking us.  How far are you willing to take your relationship with God?  Or are you going to hang onto the worldly things of this earth?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for pursing us.  Thank you for wanting a relationship with us and seeking us and inviting us  to join you in your work.  Thank you for your son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.  I pray that we take what we learn from you and apply it to our everyday life.  That we will love you and obey you.

In Jesus Name

Amen
