    On Eagles Wings

On the third new moon after the people of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.  They set out from Rephidim and came into the wilderness of Sinai, they encamped before the mountain, while Moses went up to God.  The Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people fo Israel: You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles wings and brought you to myself.  Now, therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep…

    I Will Be With You

And the Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; dwell in the land fo which I shall tell you, sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.  I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all the lands.  And in your offspring, all the nations of the earth shall be blessed because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.…

    Walk Before Me

When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty, walk before me, and be blameless, that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.”  Genesis 17:1-2 Past the age of bearing children for Sarai and Abram being old, God makes a covenant with Abram.  God declares himself as God Almighty to Abram meaning that He is all powerful.  There is nothing impossible with God.  God Almighty can fulfill his promises even when there seems to be no way to fulfill them.  This is how God brings Abram’s promised son into the world. With this though,…

Righteous And Blameless In Our Generation

These are the generations of Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation.  Noah walked with God.  And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, Japheth.  Genesis 6:9-10 In Noah’s days, everyone lived wicked lives.  Noah, though, still worshipped God.  He obeyed and depended on God.  Noah was blameless in his generation means that he did not follow the crowd and their wicked ways.  Since Noah was righteous, with a deep and holy respect for God, God found favor with Noah. Noah’s obedience to God was the result of God’s grace – his undeserved favor – and Noah’s faith in God.  Today, Salvation is the result of God’s mercy and…

God The Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and God the Holy Spirit

according to the foreknowledge of God the father, in the sanctification of the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with His blood:  1 Peter 1:2 Peter made a strong declaration to the people on how God chose us.  At one time, it was the Israelites as his chosen people.  However, through Christ, all believers are chosen.  Jews and Gentiles, all belong to God.  Our salvation and security rest in the merciful choice of God. We are chosen to be God’s people according to the foreknowledge of God.  Since God is all knowing, he worked His plan to save people spiritually. He would save them through Christ Jesus…

God Chose You To Be Saved

But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord because God chose you as the first fruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.  2 Thessalonians 2:13 Have you ever thought about giving God thanks for choosing you?  We ought too!! We should give him thanks because he chose us first.  Then through salvation, we have the option to choose him back.  We must accept His gift of salvation. although we have an option to refuse it.  I don’t recommend that though!! Paul is encouraging the Thessalonians that God chose them from the beginning.  Sanctification is the process…

    Choice And Predestination

In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who work all things according to the counsel of his will, Ephesians 1:11   The believer’s inheritance consists of the promise of eternal life with God and all the spiritual blessings the heavenly father supplies until then.  Predestination means to decide beforehand and applies to God’s purposes.  God’s purpose is to offer salvation to every person.  He is sovereign, He is in charge. When life seems chaotic, rest in this truth:  Jesus is Lord, and God is in control.  Paul is not claiming that people have no self – determining the free will.  As…

    Chose You And Appointed You

. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the father in my name, he may give it to you.  John 15:16 God Chose you!  He chose you first!  He made the first choice to love and die for you.  God wants you to choose him.  He has an invitation for you to choose him.  Remember He doesn’t make you choose him.  It’s up to you. After you choose him, God appoints you to go and bear fruit.  What the fruit we are to bear? As Christians, we…

    Treasured One

For you are a people holy to the Lord your God.  The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession out of all the earth.  Deuteronomy 7:6   We are God’s holy people.  We are set apart to be the service of God.   Just as the people, the Israelites, were chosen to be of service, so are we.  We are to worship God.  We are to stay faithful to God. God chose us as his treasured possession.  What does that look like for you? Treasured possession!  When I think of the possessions that I treasure in my life,   I think about how I…

    God’s Chosen Ones

Put on then as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.  Colossians 3:12 You are chosen!  Pause and think about this.  You are chosen! you are chosen by our Triune God.  Since you are holy and beloved and God’s chosen, you now can put on these new characteristics:  compassionate heart, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.  You don’t have to have these characteristics until after you accept Jesus as your savior. To put on means to sink into clothing.   So as you put on your clothes, remember to also clothe yourself with these characteristic dailies.    Each day put on mercies towards others.  Have…
