    New Garments

Now Joshua was standing before the angel clothed with filthy garments.  And the angel said to him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.”  And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from form you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.  Zechariah 3:3-4 Zechariah had a vision of Joshua.  His vision shows how we receive God’s mercy.  It has nothing to do with ourselves.  It’s all God.  He removes our filthy garments of sin.  God, then, provides us with new garments.  They are new, clean, rich garments of righteousness and holiness of God.  This is what God’s mercy does for us. All we have…

    Don’t Hide The Sin

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.  Proverbs 28:13 Do NOT! Repeat Do Not hide your transgressions.  When we deny our sin,  we are rebelling against God.  When we don’t work with God on our sin, we are going our own way.  At this point we are not making any spiritual progress.  Therefore, we are not prospering. It is in our nature to hide or overlook our sins.  To not let others know our sins or our wrong doing.  We all make mistakes. Humans make excuses over their sins.…

    Pay Attention for Forgiveness

Pay attention to yourselves! If you brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents forgive him.  Luke 17:3 “Don’t Judge!” is a phrase we hear a lot lately. I do think there is a time when we shouldn’t judge and this is towards non believers.  All we can do is pray for them and let God’s light shine through us.  We need to be loving towards them. Let’s take a look at the word rebuke.  It means according to dictionary.com, is to express sharp disapproval or criticism of (someone) because of their behavior or actions.  In this verse, is saying that if we see our brothers and sisters in Christ sinning, we…

    Forgive From The Heart

So also my Heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.   Matthew 18:35   God wants us to forgive.  Jesus taught about forgiveness.  He taught about God’s forgiveness.  Even though God freely gives to those who confess and turn away from sin, it also depends on each individual’s willingness to forgive others. A person could lose the chance to be forgiven of their sins.  If they are unwilling to forgive others.  A person heart can become bitter, resentful, and unforgiving when they refuse to forgive.  This is a sad state to be in.  This is where you could lose…

    Forgive One Another

For if you forgive others their trespass, your Heavenly Father will also forgive, but if you do not forgive others, their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses.  Matthew 6:14 -15 Can you easily forgive others?  or is it hard for you to do? Does it depend on what the situation is? God forgives us when we ask, all he asks is that we also forgive others.  It doesn’t matter what the crime, hurt, offense is.  God asks us to forgive. What does forgive actually mean? According to the dictionary.com, forgive means to stop feeling angry or resentful towards(someone) for an offense, flaw or mistake. Flaw sure is interesting in this…

    Solomon’s Prayer For Forgiveness

“… whatever prayer, whatever plea is made by any man or by all your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart and stretching out his hands towards this house, then hear in heaven  your dwelling place and forgive and act and render each whose heart you know,  according to all his ways (for you, you only, know the hearts of all the children of mankind),  that they may fear you all the days that they live in the land that you gave to our fathers.  1 Kings 8:38-40 God will forgive His people if they sincerely repent.  By this, I mean that they admit their sin and are determined to make a complete change, to turn away…

    His Great Mercy

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and which according to His great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.  1 Peter 1:3 God’s mercy is wonderful.  It is much-needed for our salvation.  Because of his mercy, he has caused us to be born again.  Born again is a spiritual birth – regeneration.  Regeneration is God bringing Christians to new life or born again from a previous state of separation from God. His mercy for us, while we are ignorance and guilt, depravity and weakness, shows up in His love and goodness.  It’s the…
