    Do Not Be Afraid

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.  Not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.  John 14:27 We don’t have to be afraid.  We have the Holy Spirit with us forever.  He lives with us and in us.  The Holy Spirit gives us peace. When we have the peace of the Holy Spirit we can have the courage to face what is making us feel anxious, scared, and have no peace. We need to remember that God can help us be courageous when we have to face this world we live in.…

    Lord Stood By Me

But the Lord stood by my side and gave me strength so that through me, the message might be fully proclaimed, and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.  2 Timothy 4:17-18 Paul was in prison.  The church is in turmoil.  Timothy probably didn’t have the courage to deal with the church.  Paul is encouraging Timothy to speak to the church as God has called him to do. God always gives us the strength to do what he has asked us to do. When we step out in faith and are obedient, that is when the evidence of God’s strength will be revealed.…

    Generously Through Jesus Christ

Whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.  Titus 3:6-7   God loves ravishing.  Let me show you.  Let’s look at the word generously.  Generously is also linked abundantly and richly.  They are used in other translations.  Abundantly is riches, wealth, one that is enriched. What did God pour out abundantly generously to us?  He poured the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ into us.  When We choose to make God our Lord and Savior, he generously pours our the Holy Spirit.  It is overwhelmingly that the more we…

    Prayer Time

Our Father in heaven, Your name is honored as holy. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.] Let’s take some time and focus on prayer.  Look up these verses and glean from them. Prayer!  It’s a conversation with God.  Do you struggle with praying?  Is it intimidating to you to pray to God?  Is there a right way to…

    God Who Strengthens Me

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.   Philippians 4:13 The phrase “God only gives me what I can handle” is not correct.  I believe that God will call us to do hard things.  It can be physically, spiritually, or emotionally something hard for us to do or go through.  I can give you two scripture references that show this.  In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are put into a fiery furnace.  They served God wholeheartedly.  They obeyed God.  Depending on the version you use, the soldiers died before they even got the men into the furnace.  These three men kept walking into the furnace.  Honestly,…

    Conducting Ourselves for Jesus

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ; so that whether I come and see you or remain absent,  I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together, for the faith of the gospel, Philippians 1:27 When we accept Christ as our savior, we become citizens of the Kingdom of God.  We need to be good patriotic citizens of the Kingdom of God.  As Paul stated that they, the Philippians, were accountable to him, we, too, need to be accountable to one another. This means that when we see each other living in sin, we need…

    Humbling

But emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.  And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.  Philippians 2:7-8 We can learn a lot from Jesus.  He is a servant and humble.   He humbled himself and came to earth as a man.  He was humble by becoming obedient to God.  Jesus was so obedient that he died on the cross for us.  He laid aside the privilege of his limitless existence as God.  When he emptied himself, he took on…

    Grasping Jesus

Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,  Philippians 2:6 We need to remember that Jesus is God the Son.  He is a form of God.  Jesus is equal to God before, during, and after Jesus’s time on earth.  Jesus will always be God.   Jesus let go of his privileges and glory in heaven to come to earth to serve you.  He let go of his equality with God to come alive as a man and pay the penalty for our sins.  So that we might be saved!!! We might not be able to grasp what Jesus…

    The Same Mindset As Jesus

In your relationship with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.  Philippians 2:5 NIV Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5 HCSB This here is a life verse.  A verse we should meditate on all day long.  This verse here had become my most favorite verse even before I truly understood it.  When I came across this verse, I didn’t understand the Mindset of Jesus or the same attitude of Jesus.  Those were the words that Got my attention.  I wrote two versions of this verse.  I recommend you to search for different versions. Find the version that resonates with your soul. Jesus’ attitude was of complete…

    Reflection Day

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 Today is Reflection Day!  I love reflection day.  It’s a time for me to go back and reflect on what God has spoken to me about.  It gives me time to pray and seek God about what he wants to change in my life.  It gives me time to make a game plan of putting action to what God is telling me and asking of me.  Reflection Day gives me a slower pace to grasp what God is telling me.  It gives me more time to…
