    Abundance of God’s Mercy

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,  Ephesians 2:4 God is rich in mercy means “in the multitude of mercy”.  He is abundance of mercy.  He is so rich in this area that God is willing to impart it to others.  Even to those who are dead in their sin.  God is ready to forgive us when we are ready to ask for it and to change our way of living.  He has so much that he blesses others.  He chooses to give us an abundance of his mercy each new day. God has a great love for us. It is above…

    God Desire Of Mercy

But if you had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemn the guiltless.  Matthew 12:7 Hosea 6: 8 –  For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice  and the knowledge of God more than Burnt offerings. Micah 6:6-8 – With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on high?  Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?  Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, and ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn  for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has told you, O man, what is good;…

    Have Mercy On Me

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving kindness; your tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Psalm 51:1 Do you carry guilt of sin around with you?  Do you feel shame?  We all do, I think in my opinion.   In this verse, King David had committed adultery.  Prophet Nathan came to King David afterwards. David cries to our  God for His mercy.  God’s tender mercies blot out David’s transgressions.  David went through a hardship before his repentance.  His child with Bathsheba died.  This brought him to ask God to forgive hims of his sins.  David asked God to blot out his transgressions,  to make his sins erased.…

    God is Compassionate and Merciful

Take, my brothers, the prophets, who have spoken in the example of suffering, affliction,  and of patience.  See, we count as blessed those who endured.  You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the outcome from the Lord.  The Lord is very compassionate and merciful.  James 5:10-11   To endure trials or afflictions is to be blessed.  Job, What a man! Job is known as righteous man.  ow he went through trials, affliction, and grief.  He endured  many things, and he was blessed.  Job was patient in his suffering.  He is a role model to us on how we should  be in our sufferings. Even while Job was going through his…

    Mercy Towards Iniquities

For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.  Hebrews 8:12 Isn’t God amazing that he will be merciful towards our iniquities!  What exactly does iniquities mean?  It means wickedness, sinfulness, immorality, or soul.  These are some hard words to swallow.  This is apart of us before Jesus Christ.  Here God is telling us that He will be merciful towards our iniquities, and that he will not remember our sin anymore.  How exciting  is that! We get to start new because  of his mercy he offers to us.  Our slate is clean.  It is white as snow.  Again, this is all due to…

    Offer Mercy To Others

Be merciful, as your Father is merciful.  Luke 6:36   God is a merciful God.   He is a  compassionate God.  In Ephesians 5:1, it says, “Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children.” God show us  mercy every day, throughout the day.  Think about  everything you do, say and think!  Not perfect, Huh?  I know I am not perfect.  Some days, I am just not functioning well.  On these days  I have learned not to interact with people because sometimes my mouth doesn’t work with my Brian and I say the wrong thing not meaning too.   Boom!  I am not given mercy. I get wrath.  But let’s…

    The Lord’s Mercy

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.  Psalm 103:8 God is slow to anger!! How wonderful is that?  He won’t be quick to chide us on our sins, but waits patiently for us to ask for forgiveness.  He waits for our repentance.  He wants us to be reconciled with him.  God is so, so good to us.  He has revealed his mercy and grace to the Israelites, His chosen people. Through them he has revealed this to all of us. We have all experienced God’s mercy.  Thank goodness it never ceases or come to an end. We can trust in God that when we…

    God Will Not Leave You

For the Lord your God is a merciful God.  He will not leave you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers that he swore to them.  Deuteronomy 4:31 Have you thought of God as merciful?  Did you ever think that God would leave you, destroy , or forget you and His promises? Have you considered who God is and how we act?  Have you forsaken or forgotten God? Are you faithful to God? Do you do you duty to God? I find this interesting that we think that God will leave us, destroy us, or forget.  However, He doesn’t.  If anyone leaves, forgets, or destroys one another,…

    Father Of Mercy

Blessed be the God and Father  of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Mercies, and God of all comfort,  2 Corinthians 1:3 Paul recognizes God’s comfort and mercies.  He thanks God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for all of his mercy and comfort.  Paul is showing jubilant adoration towards God.  He boldly comes to the throne.  Have you taken the time to adore and thank God for his mercy and comfort?  Do you boldly come to the throne? God is the Father of Mercies.  His compassion and readiness to forgive the repentant person.  God wants to give us mercy and comfort in hard times.  Are you willing…

    His Mercies Never End

Lamentations 3:22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; God’s mercy never end.  Look at our society.  There is so many things against God’s word.  God does have anger.  Read the whole Old Testament.  WE sin and sin.  Come back to God’s ways and then go back to our sin. God’s compassion does not fail.  God’s mercies never end.  He is really quite patient with us.  By his mercy we are not consumed.  God did not wipe out all the people.  He kept his promise in Jeremiah’s day.  Because of God’s mercy, we get to wake up every morning.  We are still…
