Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Matthew 5:7 God is so merciful to us. We are to be imitators of God. As God gives us mercy, we should be willing to off others mercy. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him.
