    Old Testament Prophesy – Part 2

    The scepter shall not depart from Judah, not the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until tribute come to him; and to him shall be the obedience of the people. Judah’s descendent would hold a position of generational authority over the other tribes of Israel.  This part of the promise was fulfilled when Israel’s royal link came through King David, a descendant of Judah.  “Until tribute comes to him,” is reference to the Messiah, the one to be the last fulfillment of the promise.
