    The Extravagant Exchange: Part Two

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.  The skies display his craftsmanship.  Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.  They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.  Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.  Psalm 19:1-4 Paul was a man that was not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ because “it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes”.   Paul knew that it has the power to change everyone, and his passion is that all people would believe in the gospel and be saved.  The book of…

    The Good Fight

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.   2 Timothy 4:7 The end is coming for Paul. Christians go through a lot when they choose to be obedient to God.  There are struggles that we do not see.  Satan did at times put obstacles in Paul’s way of his missionary endeavors. There are three biblical truths concerning Satan’s opposition to faithful Christians. The first opposition is God allow Satan to war against us.  Satan is…

    The Athletes Race

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do; forgetting what lies behind and  straining  forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ.  Philippians 3:13-14 Athletes have to be determined and full of concentration in order to win the race. This is how Paul felt about himself. An athlete in a race. He put forth all his strength and pressing on with determination and concentration to finish the race and to win. Paul’s goal was to reach and fulfill the goal that Christ set before him. For…
