The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall say to them, The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.” Numbers 6: 22-27 What a blessing from God to His chosen people! Have you ever had a blessing over you? God shows his gracious response to his people if they maintained purity in the congregation. …

Peace On Earth
“This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She…

Peace Of God
“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”” Luke 2:13-14 God’s word is filled with promises. God promised peace to His people. It is important for us to be in God’s word and remind ourselves of His promises. The angels said that peace on earth to people He favors! Right here God kept his promise! Peace was a huge part of Christ coming to earth. We get peace with God through Jesus. We have peace because we know we are God’s child. When…

Peace- The Nearness Of God
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 Peace is hard for some, if not all, to find! We live in a world where there is hatred and chairs. We are stressed human beings! Women cry out when it is stressful of “Cal-gone take me away”. People are relying on wine to relax themselves! It has been this way since Adam and Eve sinner. The day we were separated from God. At the beginning there was peace in this world. It’s not equated with stillness but the stillness of the nearness of God. He walked with Adam and Eve-in the garden of…

Do Not Put Your Trust in Humans
Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Psalm 146:3-4 Another verse that I am thankful for. This verse speaks to me here I’m not putting our trust in high authority or in humans to save me. They can’t save me, only Jesus can. Humans tend to make promises that they can’t keep or deliver. This is hurtful and disappointing. However, God does! He has kept his promise since the beginning of time. He has kept his promises to me. His plans to come to great things.…

God’s Clothed Him
That night the Lord said to him, “Take your father’s bull, and the second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it and build an altar to the Lord your God on the top of the stronghold here, with stones laid in due order. Then take the second bull and offer it as a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah that you shall cut down.” So Gideon took ten men of his servants and did as the Lord had told him. But because he was too afraid of his family and the…

Spiritual Blessing – Part 1
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 God gives us spiritual blessings. Even though we are found guilty before God, we repent, he turns around and forgives us and gives us spiritual blessings. We have been justified! Let’s review the meeting of justified. Just a fied means declared or made righteous in the sight of God. Righteousness means worthy, upright, good. When we repent God justifies – ( makes us good in the sight of God). We are worthy. This happens all through our faith, not works. shalom means peace. This term mean more then the…
