     Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never go thirsty.  John 6:35 Today read John chapter 6 verses 1-9.  Why were the crowds following Jesus?  Can you imagine hearing about a man like Jesus in today’s world?  What request would you make of Him?  Reread verse 4.  What time of year did this occur?     Faith and Sacrifice – Part Two

     He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now, I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.  Genesis 22:12 James 2:21 states that Abraham was justified by works when he offered Isaac on the altar.  Abraham showed his faith by sincerely obeying God.  True faith will reveal itself by obedience to God.  True faith is the kind that which people are saved.
