     Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.  John 10:7 Read John 10:1-10.  Jesus makes another I AM statement.  In the first verse, Jesus is warning the crowd that there is only one way to God the Father, and that is through him.  How does His tone sound to you?  Is it firm, angry, aloof?  Whatever his tone is, He is making a point by how he is talking of the thief and the bandit.  Let’s dig a little deeper into the sheep and shepherds of this time frame.      Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never go thirsty.  John 6:35 Today read John chapter 6 verses 1-9.  Why were the crowds following Jesus?  Can you imagine hearing about a man like Jesus in today’s world?  What request would you make of Him?  Reread verse 4.  What time of year did this occur?     Praise God In His Providing

      And you shall eat and be full, you shall bless the Lord your God for the good he has given you.  Deutronomy 8:10   Do you give thanks in everything? It can be hard to praise God in everything.  However, we must remember the Benefactor who gives us everything.  When we are prosperous it is hard to remmber God.  We don’t rely on Him as much as we should.  Then we have those hwo are not a prosperous.  They generally don’t have a problem remembering God who provides.  In fact, even if it’s not in positions they still trust God to provide to their needs:  food and shelter.
