God is slow to anger!! How wonderful is that? He won’t be quick to chide us on our sins, but waits patiently for us to ask for forgiveness. He waits for our repentance. He wants us to be reconciled with him. God is so, so good to us. He has revealed his mercy and grace to the Israelites, His chosen people. Through them he has revealed this to all of us.
We have all experienced God’s mercy. Thank goodness it never ceases or come to an end.
We can trust in God that when we mess up, we can bank on God’s mercy and grace and his abounding steadfast love when we come to him with repentance. Yes, God can be an angry God. He is still merciful and gracious to us. He still loves us. There will be a time god will discipline us. We don’t want to play around and think we have plenty of time and keep doing what we are dong when it goes against God.
Open your eyes and see how merciful and gracious God is. See how slow his truly is to anger. How patient he is with us humans. Know that his abound steadfast love is there just for you. Accept him into your life. He is so worthy of us to change for him.
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are so, so, so good. You are good to your people. Thank you for being patient to us and not bring your wrath down on us. Thank you for giving us mercy and grace and your love. I pray that we open our eyes and ears to you God, so that we can repent of our sinful ways.
