The Rapture

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the boys at the arch angel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so will always be the Lord.  1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Jesus is alive! One day he is coming back. This will be an exciting day!   Are you looking forward to the day?  Do you know about the rapture?

The word rapture comes from the Latin word rapu. Rapu  means caught away or caught up. This Latin word is also equal to the Greek term Harpazo that is used in first Thessalonians  4:17  which means caught up. In first Corinthians 15, it talks about when Christ will take his followers from earth to meet him in the air and will be with him in heaven.  How EXCITING!! This is only for those who are His true children. His faithful people who are in the right relationship with him.

When this day comes, as Jesus descends From heaven for his people, that resurrection of the dead in Christ will occur first. Then at the same time the followers of Christ who are alive on earth will be transformed and become imperishable and immortal (1 Cor. 15:51,53).

This will happen in the twinkling of an eye. The resurrected Christians in those instantly transported will be caught up together to meet Jesus. We will be visibly united with Jesus. We will be taken to heaven, and be united with our loved ones who known Christ when they were living. 1 Thessalonians. 4:13-18

The rapture will be an exciting day.  Being reunited with loved ones will be an exciting day.  Are you excited for Jesus return? Are you ready? Are you telling others?

Dear Heavenly Father,

I think you for your plan. I pray that we will be ready wholeheartedly for your return. I pray that we will be bold and courageous to testify for you.

In Jesus Name

Amen
