So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfect with us. so that we may have confidence for the day of judgement, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear. For fear has to do with punishment and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:16-19
As long as we abide in God and Him in us, we will not need to fear the day of judgement. We can have confidence in His love.
All we have to do is make sure our motives and actions show that we are in a right relationship with Christ and God. We need the Holy Spirit is in us. We need to be in obedience to God’s commands. We also don’t want to be participating in the world’s corrupt ways.
Also, we need to b loyal to God’s truth. Now a hard one – that we love others as God loves others. This meaning loving the hard to love people, loving those who hurt us, loving our enemies. this list can go on and on.
By doing these things we can have confidence when we go before God on judgement day. However, don’t live in fear over this! If we are in the right relationship with God, we have nothing to fear because of love. There is no fear in Love.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving us so deeply. Thank you that your love drives out Fear. Helps us to focus on you and obey you. Help us to love others they way you love them. God, this is hard sometimes, but through you it is possible. Thank goodness.
