Jesus answered, I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me. Luke 22:33-24
Do you ever feel like God is moving slowly in your life? Why do you think God moves slow in a person’s life as He matures us?
Jesus was with His disciples for three years. He told them that He had much more to say to them. It was more than they could bear. He told them that when the Holy Spirit comes, the Holy Spirit will guide them to all truth. He won’t speak on his own but only what he hears. He will tell us what is yet to come. Jesus had more to teach them, however, they were not ready to receive it. Jesus knew though that the Holy Spirit would guide them on God’s timing.
Think about this: Are you responding to all God already is leading your to do? Have you obeyed in all you already know to be His will? Do you really believe that He loves you and will always do what is best and right? Are you will to patiently wait on His timing, ad obey everything you know to do in the meantime?
We need to allow God to take all the time He needs in our life. God is concerned about our life through eternity. We need to allow him to take his time with shaping our life for His purposes. If God has a big assignment for us to do, He will work longer on preparing us for it. We need to let God orient our lives to Him. We are His servants, we don’t tell him wha to do and how to do it.
God main purpose or plan for us is to have an intimate relationship with him. God’s assignments will come to us daily. God will not give us an assignment that He will not complete in us. We can do all things through hIm who strengthens us.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Theses are just a few questions about you plans and purposes for our life. I pray that we will be patient and let you lead us. I pray that we don’t get discourage with your pace, but be content with your pace and know that it is for the best. I pray that we remember that we are your servants and that we will remember to serve you and only you.
In Jesus Name
Amen
