Do you believe that Jesus died to save us form our sin against God?
Do you believe that salvation is for all or just for the Jews?
Believe means to accept something as true, to feel sure of the truth of; to have faith.
In the biblical sense, believing is to think it to be true, to be persuaded of , to credit, to place confidence in as used in the New Testament of the conviction and trust to which a man is impelled by a certain inner and higher prerogative and the law of ones soul. We believe or trust in Jesus and God as able to aid then in obtaining or in doing something; saving faith.
Here is a little background of chapter 15. The setting here is at a Jerusalem Council. This Council was question whether circumcision (an OT sign of the acceptance of God’s covenant) and obedience to God’s law given through Moses were required for salvation. The Council decided that the Gentiles were spiritually saved through the grace of Jesus Christ. Thank goodness, God’s grace extends to everyone who repents and turns away from sin. One just has to believe in Christ as savior and Lord.
Remember God’s grace is his love shown to us, not because we deserve it, but because of His own desire to have a personal relationship with each one of us. It is God granting us favor and benefits that we don’t deserve.
Anyone can believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and that through the grace of Jesus Christ we are saved.
Have you made that step?
Do you struggle with the fact that our Lord Jesus Christs grace is for everyone?
Are you thankful for Our Triune God’s grace is given to you and to all others?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Grace and Jesus’s grace. Thank you for loving every person here on this earth and have a desire to have a relationship with each one of us.
In Jesus Name
Amen
