What God’s Desires In Us

And the Lord said to him I have heard your prayer, and your plea, which you have made before me. I have concentrated this house that you have built by putting my name there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time. And as for you, you will walk before me as David your father walked with integrity of the heart and uprightness,  doing according to all that have commanded you and keeping my statues and my rules and then I will establish your oil thrown over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, thank you shall not like a man on the throne of Israel. But if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my Commandments and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and were shipped them, and I will cut off Israel from the land of that that I have given them, and the house that I have concentrated for my name I will cast out of my sight and Israel will become a proverb and A by word among all people. And this house will become a heap of ruined. Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hit us and they will say why has the Lord done this to this land and to this house.    1 Kong’s 9:3-8

God responded to Solomon’s prayer showed he heard and answered. God added that he would  keep Solomons rain and Israel’s kingdom  Secure, only if Solomon and the people would remain faithful to his commands. Throughout the word, God shows the principle that he fulfills his promises to us when and only when, we follow him and live according to his plans.

In verse seven, God said he wouldn’t allow the Israelites to see or experience his presence, power, and glory in the temple if they fail to follow him with the truth hearts.

This warning applies to us today. When or if a church or a group of believers turn to ungodly beliefs, false teachings, and ungodly ways, God will withdraw his spirit and power from our presence.  He will also remove the local church body from his kingdom.

God doesn’t change to please our desires. He won’t make us choose him. However, there are consequences for our choices.

Are you choosing God or not?

Look at the world today, are you following the world views?

We are called to not follow the world a false gods and teachings don’t let sin slip in. We are called to follow the one true God and to live for him wholeheartedly!!

Dear heavenly father,

I thank you for this glorious beautiful day.  I pray that we will search our hearts deep with in the corner of it to find out if we are not totally following you. God I pray that we will choose you daily throughout the day that we will strive to live in your statutes in your commandments that we will live a holy life pleasing to you.  Dear heavenly father I thank you for this glorious beautiful day I pray that we will search our hearts deep with in the corner of it to find out if we are not totally following you.
