Wonders Never Cease

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.  3 John 1:2

God is truly amazing!  I cannot totally describe how I feel and think about my Lord!  The Bible does an amazing job of describing our Triune God!  God never ceases to show us how wonderful and amazing He is!  I have a missionary friend; as she grew up, she would see things that we don’t see all the time.  The spiritual world was and is very real to her.  God speaks to people even today in dreams.  He speaks to us in dreams just like he did to Biblical figures—for example, Jacob, Joseph, and the New Testament Joseph, whom Mary was betrothed to.

Read the following passages.  Genesis 20: 1-7 and Daniel 2:1-3, 24-29, and Acts 2:17.  Should we be surprised when we hear about increasing testimonies of God revealing Himself or a message through dreams?

Have you ever had dreams from God?  I have.  Some were so good and some were terrify.  However, I trust God through it all.  When I found the meaning to the dreams, I grew more in God and what He was telling me.  However, I still believed and had faith even if I didn’t have those experiences.  Since that time in my life I have not had dreams like that.   We need to believe God over our seeing what He does.

God heals every day.  Yes, then there are those who are not healed.  We go to prayer and those prayers don’t always get answered they way we want them to be.  This is where I belief comes to play!  Do we trust God with what is best and what He knows verses what our desires are.  When we choose to follow God, we are giving up everything of our desires, wants, and flesh.  We choose to do what God’s will and desires are and trust His ways are the best, even if we don’t understand.

Read 2 Timothy 4:20.  What did Paul tell Timothy?  Now read and then contrast this to Acts 19:11.

Read 2 Corinthians 1:8-11 and 12:7-10. According to these scriptures what greater purposes caused God to allow suffering?

We don’t always know why God does what God does.  Why does he heal some and not others?  What I do know is that it is not God being mean.  He is still demonstrating love and kindness, we just don’t see or understand it through our ways. I do believe that there are times that God will let us know the answers to our questions and others times where we will have to wait 20 some years or even till we come face to face with Jesus.  In closing, read Philippians 1:20-27.  What thoughts did Paul have on this subject?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for all the ways you use to communicate with us.  I pray that with whatever your answers are, we will accept your ways.

In Jesus Name

Amen
