The moment we encounter God through salvation, he wants us to be his messenger to others. As we grow in our relationship with him, the Holy Spirit gives us power to proclaim the message of salvation. The Holy Spirit also increases the effectiveness of our own personal testimony or witness to God. The Holy Spirit reveals and makes more real the relationship with God. Listening to the Holy Spirit will bring us to a deeper, intimate relationship with Jesus. It will increase our desire to love, honor, and please him as our Savior.
The Holy Spirit witnesses both to and through Christians to convince people of God’s righteousness and truth. This will glorify Jesus. This happens in both action and words. We will show Jesus character traits of love, truth, and right behavior in our lives.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit can only be given to those who have repented and wholeheartedly turn to God and His ways. This power is maintained by sincere devotion to Jesus Christ and his purposes. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a baptism into the Spirit who is holy. God’s holiness refers to his purity, perfection, completeness, and separation from sin. This means that if we truly submitted to God, his spirit is at work in us. His Characteristics have saturated in us. As a result, we will be more like Christ.
When we have been baptized in the Holy Spirit, we will have a strong desire to please Christ in everything we do. The Holy Spirit completes the saving and purifying work of the Holy Spirit in our christian lives.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to us. I pray that we have a desire to please you in our lives. I pray that we will be devoted to you and let the Holy Spirit helps us to speak out effectively to others.
